DoorGuard – Rolling StockOriginally designed for a rolling stock manufacturing client in Victoria, Australia, these easy to install and uninstall guards saved the client many hours of labour time normally dedicated to erecting scaffolding arrangements.
During construction, the client’s carriages and locomotives are elevated. When internal fit-outs are in progress, the carriage doors often need to be open, which previously created a fall hazard.
These guards feature a footing pole bolted to the concrete floor, with the top section being easily removed via a quick release mechanism. The guard system was designed especially for the client and the specific model of train, via onsite consultation and SafeSmart’s in-house design team.
The product was also manufactured in-house with high grade aluminium for environmental corrosion resistance and easy portability.
